Retired Sadness

Standing in the lobby
at the front desk
I heard a little old lady say

"Maybe my daughter will come see me today."

I was in a retirement home.

sounds so good
right now.
You could get a
fishing line made of spiders thread
and cast it into the sky to catch me before i turn into
a star at the end of the universe....
so hurry, cuz the universe... doesn't end.

If it weren't for you, Jupiter.

I recently heard a student give
a presentation on a paper that they wrote
on how perfectly placed planets are in our universe
so that Earth can exist.

For instance, J u p i t e r is placed in
the perfect position in our solar system
to block most incoming asteroids.

How amazing is it that the one planet
that currently has living lifeforms on it
is being kept safe by another planet
from positioning alone?

Another thing is how did we get to
be the perfect distance from the sun
to not get burned or to freeze?

Thank you Big Bang Theory :]

Looking at my reflection in a window
i thought, for a moment,
i could take off my nose

I have daffodils

Shine So BRITE

Whatever happened to LITE-BRITES?
They were so fun when i was little.
They were like paint by number
but instead they were different c o l o r e d p e g s
that you push through the paper...
I could give such a better description than this, but
I do not quite feel like it right now.

I'll fix this up later.

Vocalize

Ravishing
-adjective
extremely/stunningly beautiful or attractive;
enchanting; entrancing

How often do you really hear this word used?
I have actually only heard it in movies.

Ravish
-verb
1. To seize or carry away by force
2. T0 rape; violate
3. To overwhelm with emotion; enrapture

Now, the first two definitions sound horrid...
and think of how ravishing comes from ravish...
strange kind of compliment considering that,
but very sweet

Bad Names #1 & #2

Girl: Henrietta

Boy: Joy

The first one i've heard in movies set in victorian times.
Ewww.
The second one, my grandma's friend's husband is named that.
We feel extra sorry for him.

Both should just stay for the opposite gender.
Henrietta should just be Henry.

end.

Hippy Dippie Says Love

I once read in a short story a part where a man was in love
and he described biscuits and honey
like little clouds and sunshine.
I told my mum and she told me it sounded like what a
hippie would say.

Anways:
Honey is like liquid sunshine!
I love honey. I think it's a beautiful substance.
The shade of it can change but it still remains
a beautiful goldish color.
The one and only natural sweetener
that they can't fake...
or at least that's what my sis said.

He's Under the Haystack Fast Asleep

Nice Feet

So I have come to another conclusion:

The sound of a lot of feet
sliding along a wooden floor and
gently coming back down
in sync and to the rhythm of a song
is a completely peaceful & beautiful sound.
